Characteristics
Product obtained by malting, saccharification and controlled roasting of specially selected barley.
Role of the malt
Adds a mellow, sweet flavour and a subtle, pleasant taste to the beer. Improves the mellowness while providing a stronger caramel, toast flavour, and a subtle dark chocolate flavour. Suitable for amber beers, depending on the proportions used (5 to 25%)
