British brewing culture

The UK has one of the strongest brewing traditions in the world. Our malt house is located in the town of Burton upon Trent, which is known for its water naturally rich in minerals.

To meet the growing demand from the UK beer and whisky markets, work has begun on expanding the site. Capacity will increase by 20,000 tonnes by 2024 to make an annual production of 148,000 tonnes on this site. This project is part of a process to continuously improve industrial facilities to meet the needs of local brewers and distillers. The extension also aims to reduce our environmental impact with the installation of heat recovery and recycling equipment and a double flow system to reduce our energy consumption.
